The Position

As a Technical Product Manager on the Foureyes Data Collection Team, you are responsible for identifying customer needs and driving the vision, execution, and business objectives for our data collection platform.

You will contribute to the overall health and growth of the platform by managing several products within our data collection platform and will work with a cross-functional team. You will act as the voice of the product – fielding questions, providing updates, and liaising with other departments to generate ideas and solve problems. You understand how your product fits in with the overall vision for the company and push the product forward relentlessly to meet that vision. You understand our users’ needs deeply, identify problems, and plan and design solutions that will drive customer value realization

Responsibilities


  • Set the vision for your products and manage the long-term road map
  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Prioritize features, ensure they are clearly defined, and ensure the team has what it needs to be successful.
    • Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations
    • Identify additional work required to advance projects
    • Identify near-term risks and blockers before encountered
    • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Participate in solution discussions
    • Review solutions/plans proposed by others and ask questions to ensure they meet the needs of the users
    • Propose ways to test or validate solutions
  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
  • Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the team.
  • Manage the backlog and prioritization
  • Communicate the roadmap in a visible way to all stakeholders (across departments)

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts. Can contribute to discussions on software engineering concepts, architecture, and solutions
  • Project management skills. Can break down large requests into smaller pieces and set expectations for delivery. Proactively identifies risks and assumptions and builds plans that account for that. Maintains clear and consistent communication on the objective and delivery status.
  • Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
  • Experience distilling user needs into requirements
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets and data visualization tools
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence people you don’t directly manage
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience required
    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related science degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or a related field

Starting Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000

Location: Although this is a remote position, we are targeting candidate who live in the following states: OR, WA, AZ, MN, CO, NV, ID, TX, MA, MD, OH, TN.
